Matsya goes to daycare now.Initially he was resistant but adapted beautifully.I feel kids learn a lot just being with other kids their age.Vinodh or me go to drop/pick him up.Every time i step inside i feel this strange pull..memories,nostalgia-not to my own toddler days,i dont remember any incident of my 1st 3 yrs of life.But i do remember my kindergaden days and my elementary school days.Those were the days when i used to look at awe at my seniors at school.They always wore this 'im important ' look on their faces whenever they passed our class rooms.I couldnt wait to go to the 6th grade(ye

I have been thinking to blog for a very long time now ..somehow never got around to it.Like so many other things in life..really!I sometimes get an idea and i would be brimming with enthu but never execute anything.Thats me!
So anyways, like i was telling i have been meaning to blog.I guess everyone does it now.Each has their own reasons for blogging..mine a very simple one-i would like to maintain a chronolgy of my life.So There!
Actually,this being my first blog, i wanted it to be something profound, something meaningful but i have nothing now.Zilch!Nada!

Matsya went to day care center for the first time today. We sent him off for three hours to play with other children, which of course he did not. We however hope, it will hone his social skills and make him more social than I'll ever be :-).

Flock is a new browser based on the Mozilla Gecko engine. Gecko is the engine that drives the famous Firefox browser from Mozilla as well. The difference between flock and other browsers is that flock is aimed at the social networking crowd and as such aggregates all your data in one place, your browser. It can show your photos from picassa and flickr, your friends from facebook and your drupal blogs inside the browser. Not a bad thing if you ask me, as long as none of the information leaves the browser.

The Past

It was a bright spring morning when I first saw her. A light breeze was blowing across my face. The sky was overcast. It was as though the clouds fell so much in love with the sun, they were not letting him out and the sun was so constrained by their love that every few minutes he was trying to come out, only to be caught by the love of the clouds again. The breeze was caressing my face and my hair was trying to catch the breeze blowing across my face in its myriad strands and each time the breeze won.

Redhat recently announced that they had no interest in promoting RHEL onto the end user's desktops. They are more content trying to get the server market. Ostensibly, the main reason behind this was business, as a public company Redhat has to create and sell products that will maximize share holder values, and Redhat feels that desktop linux will not bring in that value.
