A new addition..
By jyothsna on November 12th, 2008 at 08:39pmToday was a great day, the reason being I became a perima!!My sister delivered a girl baby and I am so happy..Mommy and baby are in good health.Matsya has been prancing around saying”anna ..matsya anna”.He has learnt a new word and I am sure we are going to be hearing a lot of it in the next few days.
Pizza
By jyothsna on November 12th, 2008 at 02:33pmPizzas are my downfall.Seriously!I can never resist a pizza.I may have just had a filling lunch/dinner but if someone offers me a pizza my stomach can make room for a bite.My mom keeps telling me to curb my pizza appetite and I keep telling her that its not like I eat it all 7 days(just between you and me I wudnt mind it).I eat pizzas maybe twice a month..now that’s not bad.I am not going to say how much I eat tho.
F.R.I.E.N.D.S.
By jyothsna on November 09th, 2008 at 12:08pmThe past week was hectic.Matsya had fever for the most part of it.We are also getting a glimpse of the terrible two's.If this is just a glimpse i can only imagine what the full effect would be on poor us!When my son wants something done, he wants it done that minute.."Hello?were u not listening??".Vinodh and me have decided to ignore his temper tantrums..it feeds on audience.Lets see how well ignoring it works.
An awakening
By jyothsna on November 05th, 2008 at 02:14pmMartin Luther King had a dream.Today America has awakened to that dream. It is a profound moment in the history of America, no doubt. So there-A change has come!
Lets hope that the change is a positive one.
Bits n Pieces
By jyothsna on November 02nd, 2008 at 09:06pmMatsya went on his first trick or treating..Last year we thought he would be too young to enter the "spirit of the season".This halloween Matsya was dressed up as Elmo(The Brat's fav monster). He had a halloween parade at school and had a blast. We sort of expected it with all the free candys lying around(Now i understand why they say "like a kid in a candy store"..You should see the sheer ecstasy on his face). All his class mates were dressed up too..cute lady bugs, dragons, princess's and ofcourse a lot of Elmos.
Why did you..?
By jyothsna on November 01st, 2008 at 07:59pmI am angry..very angry.I need to channel this anger or I am afraid I may burn up.I might direct all this frustaration at the concerned person if I dint know I would be talking to a wall there.at this point I ask myself what is maturity?People say maturity comes with age but I call it crap.
I feel that age has nothing to do with maturity.Sometimes a 14 yr old can act with a lot of maturity and an older person may behave childishly.Am I mature enough?depends on what your definition of the word is..
change
By jyothsna on October 29th, 2008 at 09:11pmIt has started snowing and we havent even gone trick or treatin yet!At other times I would be ecstatic.I love snow but with Matsya around I dread winter.Matsya loves going out and playing in the park which we did almost all of spring and summer. But its going to be near impossible in the coming months .He is an outside person and it is going to be frustrating for him to be cooped up indoors.Vinodh and me love the change in seasons.Spring is awesome. Its a beautiful sight to see the tree tops crowned with flowers .The tulips are in full bloom and it would feel like the plants are dressed up with
Today
By jyothsna on October 27th, 2008 at 09:07pmI missed vinodh today. He has started work for this new company called AEP Networks.I have got so used to having him home for the past 4 mths that today I felt all alone at home.Well, I guess its going to take some time to get adjusted.I sound like a real sappy wife, I know!but then I love him so!!
My baby
By jyothsna on October 24th, 2008 at 11:49pmI love to hear the full throated laughter of Matsya..Its genuine, innocent and no pretense.I love the wet , sloppy kisses he gives.I love the way he says
“ amma, I yov you”.I love so many things about my baby.Motherhood is amazing. It brings out this totally different person within you.Fatherhood too.
Vinodh and me have evolved so much.We learn something new everyday and not a day goes by when we are not thankful for this blessing that God has bestowed us with. Life IS Beautiful and I am happy to be a part of it..
Diwali..
By jyothsna on October 21st, 2008 at 10:53pmWe had a good weekend. We did our deepavali shopping. The festival of lights is just another week away and this would be the 2nd diwali for matsya.Last year he was a baby and was more interested in chewing books and toys(almost everything he cud get his hands on barring the teether!)I am pretty excited abt teaching our traditions to him-applying nilangu, ganga snanan, new clothes, having deepavali marundhu all except for the pattas.I am thinking of making some sweets over this week.
